Overview
Morning training takes place inside an active sumo stable, where professional wrestlers train as part of their regular daily routine. Guests will observe the training from a designated viewing area and have the opportunity to see the wrestlers practice traditional techniques up close.
Your local English-speaking guide will provide an introduction before the training and help you understand the training environment, customs, and etiquette. During the training session, please remain quiet and follow the instructions of the guide and stable staff.
Because each sumo stable has its own schedule and rules, the training time and viewing arrangements may vary depending on the selected location.
Important Information
- Seating arrangements may vary depending on the sumo stable. Floor seating on a cushion may be required.
- Eating and drinking, including chewing gum, are not allowed.
- Cell phones must be set to silent mode. Please take photos from your seat or designated viewing area, without flash or shutter sounds.
- Please do not wear sunglasses or hats.
- Depending on the stable, video recording may not be allowed, and uploading videos online may be prohibited.
- Please refrain from talking, making unnecessary noise, or moving in ways that may disturb the wrestlers’ focus during training.
- Please arrive at the designated meeting time and enter the sumo stable with your guide.
Training sessions may be changed or cancelled at short notice due to the sumo stable’s circumstances.
