What to Expect
You arrive in Ikaruga, a district in Nara Prefecture that sits quietly apart from the busier tourist corridors of the city. As you meet your guide at the starting point, you get an immediate sense of the neighbourhood’s rhythm before the first stop begins.
Your guide leads you on foot between three bars, each drawn from a different pocket of Ikaruga’s walkable drinking areas. At every venue, you order, settle in, and drink at your own pace before moving on. The stops are spaced so that the walk between them becomes part of the evening itself, giving you time to take in the streets between rounds. Additional drinks and food at each venue are ordered and paid for directly by you on the spot.
