Your guide introduces the session and helps you get oriented before the chef takes over.
The sushi chef demonstrates nigiri technique directly in front of you, showing how to portion, press, and shape rice and fish into finished pieces. You then replicate each step yourself, working through the process with the chef’s guidance close at hand. Your guide translates and relays questions to the chef throughout, keeping the session interactive and easy to follow regardless of your Japanese language ability.
By the end of the 90-minute session, you leave with a set of nigiri pieces you shaped yourself, along with a working understanding of the hand movements and balance behind each one.
